Lost for awhile

Boy, This has been brutal! I misplaced my new log-in & password, so I haven't been able to blog...and there's soooo much to share!!
I just submitted my proposal for a new edition of the original Breathworks book - except this is very, very different. Not the voice, but the content - well not really the content, but the intention - well not really the...
Obviously you'll just have to buy the book to find out. Anyway, I've been busy - and in addition, I'm trying to get myself back in shape to teach a new body sculpture class NEXT WEEK!!!! Boy, do I have my work cut out for me.
Yes, I've recovered remarkably from my open heart surgery (Didn't I tell you?), but I've been so busy writing, I haven't been pushing myself physically, which is what it takes to be in the shape to TEACH a class.
Why? Because you have to be talkng, non-stop and projecting your voice throughout the whole class. That takes enormous breath power (which I DO have), and energy. Projecting your voice, while you're moving your whole body at a non-stop fast beat, is like a dancer who sings...or a singer who dances - hmmmm, which is it?
Anyway, although I've given myself the upcoming workout a few times, I do feel it. I have this totally useless left arm, (tendonitis & bursitis) OUCH!, so I can only use my right arm...although it is actually good for me to demonstrate what you do when you are protecting an injury...you let it rest, which I am.
Boy, I'm out of breath from just writing so much. It's hard to believe I'm going to be 73 in just six weeks. How did THAT happen?
Anyway... I'm signing off for now, but I wanted you to know "I'm back!"

A San Francisco Adventure

Good morning,

First, to answer some questions: b2evolution is the blog design, but my webmaster, Hologram.net created it. She is amazing! Look her up.
2nd - I currently have no set up to communicate directly with you that comment asking to have more communication. As I've said before, since your comments also show up on my gmail, if you truly want to have some discussion, send me your legitimate email address, and I will respond.
Okay, now to the story:
I'm coming to San Francisco every week, to teach a CORE abdominal& Moving Stretch workshop. I have been here the last two weekends. Now, living up in the Sierra foothills, you don't see the kind of fabulous contrasts in ethnicity, cultures, architecture, and just general activity that you do in a city as diverse as San Francisco. I LOVE it!
I'm having the best time. First of all, at almost 73, I don't consider myself very adventurous. I'm always nervous when I have to drive somewhere new, especially if there is heavy traffic, because, compared to San Francisco, Grass Valley life moves at a snails pace...no insult to Grass Valley; that's what people move there for, to escape the rat race of big cities. But my workshops are clear across the city from where I'm staying, so I'm driving in areas I haven't been in, in 35 years. I've gotten lost a couple of times, but I'm finding, that instead of feeling anxious and stressed, I'm feeling a wonderful sense of freedom, a sense of exploration of both the city and myself...and it is more fun than I've had in a long time.
Yesterday, after my class, I walked for hours in Golden Gate park. It was misting a soft rain, and deep in the park, on some of the smaller trails, the trees are knarled and twisted, and covered with thick moss, as long as fur. They exude a sense of ancient, secret knowledge of the city and it's past and it's population and it's visitors, that invites you to touch them and talk to them, and absorb their wisdom and steadfastness. I actually did that, stroking the soft green fur on a branch that seemed to be reaching out to me. Deep roots...one of the sources of their stability, something we could all learn from. Not in terms of "putting down roots" in a physical area, but in the sense of being deeply grounded...in your awareness of life's process, which is continuous change - a seeming oxymoron, but not...because the trees "groundedness", is what allows them to survive the huge winds and weather, that threatens their stability, year after year.
I am so fortunate, I've had many relationships with trees in my life. They are one of earth's most precious guardians of wisdom from experience. There is much to learn from that.

Clearing something up!!!

OK, I've had it! Most of you that comment on my blog, say wonderful, supportive things, and I deeply appreciate it...but those of you that are making inane comments about my "videos" and "pictures", obviously are accessing my blog through my website - which has plenty of video clips and pictures...for a reason! I am a senior myself, who has and is working with other seniors and special populations, AS WELL AS the younger, general public, by teaching classes, giving workshops and working one on one with those that need it.
The website is its own thing, separate from the personal nature of this blog. This blog is for my musings, my "thinking out-loud"; sharing the thoughts and feelings I have about life at this stage, my success - or lack of it, my knowledge and sense of wonder (still) at the miracle of the human body and our amazing brain that so beautifully support each other...most of the time.
I'm not adverse to genuine comments and even criticism, but please take the time to actually LOOK at all the info on the website, before you jump to conclusions about my lack of expertise.
If there is one thing I've learned in these 72, almost 73 years, it's that jumping to conclusions...about anything, can lead to loss...of the truth, of important information, of meaningful relationships, of life changing experiences - and on, and on, and on...
So, Thank You once again, to those of you who "get me". Those that don't, take the time to try.

Invisible Support

I am facing an interesting, but very frustrating situation. Every day, I get many, many g-mails from readers of this blog. Some of those same comments also show up here on my dashboard. The problem is this:
First of all, I have tried emailing the writers of these comments back, but my emails are always returned as "un-deliverable". Whether that is my servers problem or that the addresses are not legitimate, is one question. The other is, I get virtually the exact same comment from different senders names, i.e., Chinese Dating, Catholic Dating, On-Line Dating, Affair, etc. There is also a set of readers ( who I love and appreciate) with different "Woodworking.... addresses. Some say they are in Florida, some in Texas, some in Carolina....
I've had many, many comments from "On-line Army Knowledge' and "Mega-Video", as well as others, who write me day after day. Who are you?
I genuinely want to converse with you, but - are the multiple same comments just to get your name out? Or do you really want to talk?
If the latter is true, send an email with your personal email address, and I'll respond. I got many today from addresses about "re-po cars'. One comment asked why I had been relying on videos...what's up with that/
I have never had a video on my blog. I do have many short clips on YouTube, for my Breathworks For Your Brain program, but not here.
I want to go back to writing my deepest knowledge, feelings and experience, about the body, the brain and life "Moment by Moment"
Help me do that by creating genuine communication. I'm only using my gmail for the blog and my website, but a serious reader/potential friend would have other access. Remember, I'm a 72 yr. old woman, who is serious about my work, my message and the blessing of GENUINE encounters with others. That's what we're here for...to learn from one another. It's up to you.

You Out There

Hello Dear Blog readers,

This is to say thank you to all who send me comments on my musings. Most of the remarks are legitimate, some appear to just be chances to get their name on the web. To those who make genuine remarks about my content, writing style or desire to create a conversation...I have tried without success to email the addresses that appear on the comments. All my attempts come back as "not deliverable". Some comments are in English that is sketchy, as tho coming from another country, if that is so, Thank you even more for your interest. Some of you like "Army Knowledge Online" write almost daily...who are you, and do you seriously want to communicate? If so, then say so in a more personal way, and provide me with an actual email, and I'll contact you. That goes for all who are genuine followers. The world is a little scary these days, and at 72...almost 73, I'm not sharing any personal info...so if you really want to share thoughts, it's up to you..."out there".
